Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Monday through Friday Day Shift (Must be available 7:00am-7:00pm)

Location: Offices in Orlando/East Orlando and Winter Park

The role you'll contribute:

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, reviewing new patient registration, entering patient information into the practice's designated system, requesting, and collecting co-pays/outstanding balances at the time of check-in/check-out. This individual is responsible for taking accurate messages and routing correspondence efficiently. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff.

  • Welcomes patients, accurately updates, and verifies patient demographics
  • Maintains practice operational flow by communicating patients' status to appropriate team members
  • Requests co-pay and outstanding balances on patient account at time of check-in
  • Accurately documents appropriate information within the designated office system to maintain accurate records


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • Minimum qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to communicate in English
    • Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Diagnosis coding and medical billing experience
