Job Summary:

The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center is searching for energetic, highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our growing team. We pride ourselves in providing true quality care to our patients and give you the resources to make that happen! We are searching for RN's with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Med/Surg & Emergency Room. This is a PRN~ RN Float pool, in which you will work on our Med/Surg and/or Emergency Room.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute care facility preferred

License and Certifications:

Registered Nurse License in the state of Texas or compact equivalent
BLS Required
ACLS Required

PALS Required

What you will do (Roles and Responsibilities):

*Provides direct patient care and performs head-to-toe assessment on all patients in accordance with the nurse practice act.
*Collects and accurately documents comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and wellness.
*Evaluates patient outcomes and analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or other issues.
*Identifies physical symptoms and changes and takes appropriate action in a timely manner.
*Develops personalized care plan for each patient and revises plan as necessary.
*Educates patient and family on plan of care, privacy and confidentiality.
*Identifies communication and cultural needs of the patient and utilizes resources to ensure appropriate delivery of patient care.
*Promotes a safe patient environment by identifying at risk patient i.e. implementing fall precautions.
*Demonstrates effective delegation skills.
*Consults with other departments as appropriate for an interdisciplinary approach and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
*Corrects and/or reports all unsafe environmental conditions and failures and demonstrates responsibility to the overall safety of the work area.
*Demonstrates knowledge and use of current computer skills within department.
*Participates in unit activities, attends scheduled meetings/in-services.
*Complete all mandatory education programs.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
