Job Description

Seeking a full-time sales associate who has mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn to sell hardware, tools, electrical and plumbing merchandise. The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly with our guests as they answer questions and generate sales of general merchandise as well as grills and outdoor power equipment. We're looking for a problem-solver, who is comfortable talking with others, and who can answer questions and resolve concerns in a genuine, respectful and cheerful way. Candidate must be able to multi task and function effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires mostly indoor plus occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions and some heavy lifting. Also requires the loading/unloading of items, maintaining and cleaning shop equipment and merchandise, and successful completion of various on-line training courses.

Major Responsibilities for this position include:

Sell and demonstrate power tools, Stihl Outdoor power equipment, Grills, Paint, and other merchandise
•
Ensure each guest receives outstanding service and sales assistance throughout the store
•
Execute daily operational tasks using priorities assigned by store management
•
Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and service area clean and organized
•
Responsive to safety issues and uses protective equipment as necessary
•
Answer customers' questions and resolve or escalate customer concerns to management as needed.

Requirements

3 years Retail hardware experience or will consider equivalent plumbing or electrical experience.
