The DCF Refugee Services AmeriCorps Project provides capacity building services to Coptic Orthodox Charities to increase the economic status of low-income refugee families by leveraging community resources through the development and management of a sustainable volunteer program. To help low-income refugees obtain self-sufficiency and social integration, Coptic Orthodox Charities will build, improve, and manage a sustainable volunteer program to serve refugees in the ORR funded Preferred Communities program.
Member Duties : Recruit volunteers and partners that are able to assist refugee clients with specific activities. For example, such support activities might include but are not limited to transportation assistance; financial literacy training; tutoring; job application assistance; access to healthcare services, etc. Recruit financial donors able to assist in contributing to the development of the program and create a recognition plan aimed at recognizing those that contribute to the program.
