Airswift is seeking a Flowback Operator to work in Midland TX (Permian Basin area) for a 12-month assignment (subject to extension).

Main Functions:

Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and efficiently manage resources.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Implement daily work objectives, including housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security tasks.
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular, documented safety meetings.
  • Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operational conditions.
  • Function as an Equipment Care Technician and perform simple maintenance activities.
  • Report if the alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown system is out of service.
  • Provide detailed, clear, and accurate information during shift changes to ensure unit conditions are updated and operational continuity is maintained.
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
  • Continuously document relevant operational events and abnormal situations in the logbook.
  • Take samples of products for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests.
  • Actively participate in emergency response activities.
  • Report incidents internally and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines.
  • Inform and consult the Operations Shift Supervisor about operational activities.
  • Maintain good communication across the team to ensure issues and actions are adequately addressed.
  • Provide basic facts concerning well production problems, current production rates, and the condition of the well.
  • Ensure thorough well problem diagnostics before requesting Well Work intervention operations.
  • Ensure the wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to Well Work operations.
  • Provide assistance and support to ongoing Well Work operations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completed secondary education with previous experience as a Field Technician.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High standards in Safety, Health, and Environmental aptitude, with a focus on cultivating the same in others.
  • Understanding of pipeline operations.
  • Knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
  • Understanding of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
  • Awareness of relevant regulations and commercial agreements.
