Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Food and Beverage Coordinator. The Food and Beverage Coordinator is responsible for for the delivery of high service standards, with strong focus in reception and reservations, business development and administration of all reservations for the Café Carlyle, Bemelmans Bar, The Gallery and Dowling's at The Carlyle. This position must always remain flexible regarding working hours and shift patterns, which may differ in times of high business level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support F&B Managers operationally, being present in venues as required to deliver guest service experiences.

  • Possess full and accurate information about all Food and Beverage venues, promotions, and special events.


  • Handle reservations and inquiries for all Food and Beverage venues, prepare offers and contracts for groups.


  • Advise and recommend Food and Beverage choices to guests, liaising with Executive Chef and the culinary leadership team.


  • Ensure accuracy of invoicing, contract, and financials reporting.


  • Track reservation and private event pacing to ensure growth and yield of space.


  • Maintain client contact, on a regular basis to cultivate business relationships thus build repeat business.


  • Gain maximum revenue and profitability by implementing and maintaining floor table management systems and liaising with agents, in-house concierge, and external concierge teams to yield the spaces.


  • Ensure all reservation and table management systems have the most update information clearly indicating all notes and preferences for guests. Proceed with table allocation if needed.


  • Handle ticket sales for special events.


  • Actively assist in promoting Food and Beverage venues and special events by providing full and detailed information.


  • Liaise where necessary with Sales and Marketing of the hotel to support guest reservations and inquiries.


  • Use negotiation skills, price, and confirm business to meet overall sales budget and profit targets.


  • Complete and maintain up to date quarterly competitor analysis in product, price and events and communicate to Food and Beverage department heads.


  • Assist venue managers to drive guest satisfaction program by providing consistent guest experiences and guest recognition.


  • Monitor and action guest feedback proactively, follow up on any complaints/inquiries/ opportunities


  • Liaise closely with Event Managers to ensure competent hand-over of all client files and that clients' requirements and expectations are met.


  • Develops and updates policies and manuals, as related to the division/department, for implementation in the field, while ensuring compliance to the same for consistency across the group.


• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of 2 year in a similar role at a luxury or ultra-luxury property. or independent restaurants

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.

• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Additional languages a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills

• Proactive and self-motivated

• Must be computer literate (MS WORD / MS EXCEL / Open Table/Tock / Sevenrooms)

• Must have the drive and passion to succeed at the highest level.

• Have the ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Compensation : $32.00 - $33.00 per hour
