Candidate must have experience managing a kitchen in a HEALTHCARE environment. The Food and Nutrition Services Manager must possess their Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certificate, be eligible to sit for the test, OR possess 2 years management experience in a healthcare kitchen and be willing to obtain their CDM...

Candidates are responsible for the total operation of the kitchen including food ordering, preparation, storage, budget management, cleaning and sanitation and hiring/staffing/discipline/training of staff.

The Food and Nutrition Services Director must be committed to providing an exceptional dining experience for all of our residents. In addition to kitchen operations, the Food and Nutrition Services Manager will attend clinical meetings to discuss therapeutic changes to resident's diets, weight changes and interventions and will assess and document regularly on all residents in the facility. Candidates must be proficient in computer skills.

We will provide training in key areas to help the right individuals succeed. This is a 100 + bed, skilled, long-term care facility so applicants must be comfortable serving and assessing a largely geriatric and skilled rehab population. This position requires a leader who can assume some Manager on Duty responsibilities for the facility and is part of the team of professional department heads who lead the facility to success. Some weekends, evenings, holidays and occasional long hours may be required.
