The Opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is searching for a full-time Van Driver to join our team at Rowland's Bar and Grill in New York, New York. As a Driver, you will transport food and beverage deliveries from our commissary kitchen to various locations in the surrounding area. The ideal candidate will ensure that all deliveries are made on time, maintain the quality of the products during transit, and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company van to deliver food and beverage products to multiple locations daily.

  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring that all items are handled with care to maintain product quality.

  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before departure and upon delivery.

  • Maintain communication with the dispatch team to report any delays, issues, or changes in delivery plans.

  • Uphold all food safety standards, including temperature control during transport.

  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs.

  • Provide courteous and professional service to all customers and clients upon delivery.
  • Assist with other duties related to the commissary kitchen as needed.
  • Ensure the van is properly maintained and report any mechanical or safety problems to management; incidents or accidents are immediately reported to management
Qualifications
  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three years' driving experience, a clean driving record and a valid driver license
  • Able to safely operate and drive a van and maintain a safe atmosphere on the vehicle at all times
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication
Physical Requirements
  • Sufficient vision that is not restricted in the performance of duties, day or night
  • Able to sit for long periods, and ability to stand and bend
  • Ability to speak clearly and communicate well and hear the traffic and security radio
