Job Duties

The Chesterfield Women's CCAP provides quality programming which enhances inmate growth in a highly structured evidenced-based therapeutic environment thereby reducing recidivism of offenders in a cost-efficient manner for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Provides nutritious and wholesome meals in a setting for female inmates in accordance with the approved Department's menus. Comply with State Procurement mandates under Executive Order 20 for advancing equity for small women, and minority owned business. Manages all aspects of food service operations and provides direct supervision to supervisees in food serving and clean-up. Supervises the activities of Food Service staff to include supervisees in the preparation and serving of meals to the population ensuring compliance with all policies. Manages the unit's food service operation to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and security regulations. Responsible for sanitation, procurement, documentation, food storage and cost controls.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience supervising large volume food operations, sanitation and food safety standards. Experienced in the operation of food service equipment. Experience supervising staff and/or supervisees in a food service environment.

Additional Considerations

Experience in a large volume food service environment including a correctional, educational, hospital or similar institutional setting. Prefer ServSafe Certification or the ability to obtain within 12-months.
