We're looking for an Food Production Worker to work at our client in Gilbert, AZ! Earn up to $18/hr. in a fast-paced & fun environment, working with high quality ingredients to make an amazing product. Our client specializes in Dairy, icing, and food manufacturing.

This is a temp-to-hire position - convert to a full-time employee after 520 hours of work!

About the Role:

The Warehouse Handler is primarily responsible for providing excellent support to the Warehouse Manager and excellent customer service to all associates and visitors. The Warehouse Handler will move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.

Pay Rate: $18/hr

Available Shift Times:
  • First Shift: Monday - Friday, 1:30p-10:00p

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan, the Food Quality Plan, and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.
  • Relieve team members as needed (breaks, lunches, absent team members, vacation).
  • Maintain positive, respectful, and open communication with team members.
  • Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it a more efficient and safer place to work.
  • Move stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using stand-up forklifts or other equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely unloading of raw materials and packaging/inbound materials based on purchase order information. This includes appropriate put-a-way, documentation of any damage or incorrect items, etc.
  • Ensure accurate and timely loading of all finished goods/outbound materials. This includes ensuring accurate counts, no damage, etc.
  • Communicate with external customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintains production with appropriate raw materials and packaging in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all company and manufacturing regulations.
  • Accurately attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
  • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets.
  • Install protective devices, such as strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Driving Stand-Up forklifts.
  • Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others over time.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Use of pallet jacks and Forklifts.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs
  • Ability to effectively understand and follow a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and effective communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong physical endurance: ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand; walk; for long periods of time.
  • Able and willing to work 8-10 hours daily.
  • Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime and weekends when needed.
