Job Description:
  • PURPOSE OF JOB :
To perform all activities related to food preparation, assembly and distribution of meals for patients, cafeteria patrons and catered functions, constantly striving to improve the quality of products prepared and served.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  • Prepares meals and food items for patients (300 per day), cafeteria patrons (800 per day) and assist with the food production for catered functions as necessary.
  • Uses and cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, the actual kitchen facility under the direction of the supervisor. Equipment includes-tilt fryer steamers, steam kettles, ovens, warmers, mixers, slicer, buffalo chopper, food processor, fryers, grill and knives, Dishmachine.
3. Performs food preparation duties utilizing proper food handling techniques and following HACCP

guidelines.

4. Prepares floor stocks and nourishments for patient care areas.

5. Completes all safety training and adheres to safety procedures in daily operations.

Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.
  • Experience: Food Service or other hospitality related experience preferred.
  • Other Skills: Able to competently perform the following:
Food preparation, handling, inventory
