Forge Die Maintenance -1st shift

As a Forge Die Maintenance Operator you will:

• Die Polishing and Grinding: Possess thorough knowledge of die polishing and grinding techniques.
• Inspection: Perform liquid penetrant inspection of dies to determine wear, cracks, and other defects. Document die condition and report to Engineering.
• Defect Identification: Identify defects and die wear; mark dies with job number and function.
• Tool Selection: Select abrasive tools according to operation and specified dimensions.
• Grinding and Smoothing: Manipulate powered hand grinder to remove bead, grind curved surfaces to specified radii, remove machining marks, and smooth die surfaces. Sand surfaces of cavity and gutters to facilitate metal flow during forging. Use hand tools such as files, stones, and emery cloth to smooth surfaces.
• Die Cleaning: Operate pressure wash die cleaning tank

This is a 1st Shift Opportunity

Salary $19/hr with OT potential

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
