SUMMARY
This position will accurately and efficiently pick orders while using first in first out (FIFO) methods to fulfill
customer orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Follow all Safety, SQF, GMP, and housekeeping rules and regulations
• Efficiently and safely operate fork truck in a potentially hazardous environment (wet, sloped floors, heavy
pedestrian traffic)
• Responsible for proper use and maintenance of the scanning system
• Verify cases picked to match Bill of Lading
• Daily safety and maintenance check of vehicle
• Communicate all issues to management for improvements
• Properly and accurately completing paperwork
• Other duties as assigned

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ship product free of contamination
• Follow all Ken's Foods Security and GMP policies
• Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
• Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
• Report any leaking or spilled product immediately
• Inspect all incoming and outgoing loads for signs of product contamination

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform
these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
OSHA Certificate or prior fork truck license preferred.

Your profile:
  • High school diploma/GED OR one to three months of related experience or training
  • Basic math skills to measure weight, volume, and distance (add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10s and 100s)
  • Can lift or move up to 50 lbs. (occasionally move up to 100 lbs.)
  • Able to frequently stand and walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Able to occasionally climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and hear
  • Optional: can drive a fork truck for retrieval of raw materials (license would be required)
