AWS Glue is a serverless data integration service that makes it easy for analytics users to discover, prepare, move, and integrate data from multiple sources. You can use it for analytics, machine learning, and application development. It also includes additional productivity and data ops tooling for authoring, running jobs, and implementing business workflows.

Key job responsibilities

As a Front End Engineer, you will:

-Design and propose solutions to core software components

-Participate, discuss and review designs from our many partner teams

-Prototype UI work to enable early feedback from stakeholders

-Implement, deploy, and manage UI components that enable a modern IDE experience for our end users

-Coach and mentor new and junior team members

-Collaborate with a variety of other teams, PMs, security and Data Scientists

-Working with UX and implementing designs that can be shared across other off console teams

-Working on campaigns to ensure quality and security across all of AWS

-Drive out requirements for otherwise ambiguous projects

-Use UI development tooling such as React, and Typescript to implement your feature

-Familiarize yourself with common Data Engineering tools such as Jupyter Lab Notebooks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
