Key job responsibilities

As a Front End Engineer, you'll spearhead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions within multifaceted problem domains. Collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders spanning product, program management, and UX teams, you'll shape the technological landscape, influencing future product trajectories and features. Your contributions will directly impact our expansion in this pivotal arena, as you navigate ambiguous challenges with a focus on delivering impactful results.

We are looking for a frontend engineer who is passionate about creating software and has a strong track record of successfully delivering new features and products. A commitment to team work, initiative, and strong communication skills are a must. Creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building scalable software products. This person thrives on delivering high quality technology solutions in an environment where priorities shift fast to meet the changing needs of our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

- 2+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of agile software development methodology experience

- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
