Description of Work
The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center is seeking a Front of House Shift Manager. This position helps to ensure that movie screenings run smoothly. Responsibilities include supervising part-time student employees, working with Management to assure that all polices are followed. Communicate with Business Manager any needs for the Front of House to include concessions, box office, staff supervision, and any other issues that may arise.

Position Overview
The Front of House Shift Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the box office. This will include assuring box office tasks are being completed, routinely check equipment and report all broken equipment immediately, assure employees are arriving to work on time or notifying office and/or coworkers if unable to make it in or will be late, communicate employee absences or problems with the Director, and assure concession tasks are completed. This position will also assist both the Box Office and Concessions with customers when lines form and help with crowd control to ensure that all patrons have purchased their tickets prior to entering the theaters.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma plus at least 6 months of customer service experience; equivalent experience considered. Must be able to independently follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a theatre setting and 6 months or more of direct supervision experience are preferred.
