Primary Purpose:
Manages overall operations of multiple manufacturing departments and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures. Ensures safes and efficient operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing target to achieve through-put and cost objectives
  • Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule
  • Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of technical production employees to ensure a competent workforce
  • Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production
  • Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution
  • Monitor a manufacturing team to ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations
  • Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems
  • Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specification are consistent
  • Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency
  • Monitor and control a production process to adjust operations in event of a problem
  • Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion.

  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management

Minimum Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
  • Lean and/or continuous improvement knowledge required.
  • Pull production methodologies.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with applications such as Microsoft Suite.
  • Managing team and individual performance, and providing effective feedback.
  • Coaching team members to encourage individual problem-solving.
  • Work well-scoped projects from beginning to end.
  • Convey concise written and verbal communication.
  • Lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a lead or supervisor in a production environment required.
  • Four year degree in Business, Science, or Engineering preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 5 years of related manufacturing experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience is required
