Position Summary

Lead and facilitate full time sanitation crew and participates in the sanitation of the campus.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)

§ Act for department supervisor in his/her absence

§ Help to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up with associate's job duties to be completed

§ Complete required paperwork in a timely manner

§ Ensure that all areas of responsibility are running in a safe, orderly, effective manner

§ Assist the supervisor with interviewing and hiring new associates

§ Perform own sanitation tasks while ensuring that all crew tasks are accomplished to standard

§ Train other sanitation associates and or sub-contracted crew on sanitation tasks

§ Ensure that the crew understands and follows safe work practices

§ Responsible for OSHA Compliance and Regulations

§ Maintain sanitation supply inventory

§ Provide research and advise management on equipment and supply purchases

§ Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on cleaning equipment

§ Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group

or campus that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs

§ Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity

§ Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.

 

Knowledge

§ Proficient use of Microsoft Office for data entry and research purposes

 

Skills

§ Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills

§ Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills

 

Abilities

§ Meet production standards set by the company

§ Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers

§ Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties

§ Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize

multiple task in a fast-paced environment

§ Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.

§ Stand for long periods of time

§ Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered

industrial trucks)

 

Education

§ High School education

§ Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable

 

Experience

§ Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred

§ Work and task assigned are reviewed routinely

§ Individual contributor, indirectly supervises staff of approximately 1-20 associates
