Senior Software Engineer

As a backend Java Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating and implementing an Investment Ops Dashboard for Asset Management project. In a highly iterative delivery methodology serving the demands of our investment professionals and senior management, you will collaborate directly with quantitative analysts, quant operations, as well as peer technology teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

BS or MS in Computer Science or engineering related degree, or equivalent.

Experience in building and designing backend solutions using multiple technologies such as database, Java and python.

Good database knowledge, i.e., RDBMS Oracle/PLSQL, ODS, Warehouse

Data movement and ETL experience.

Experience with Java development and integration with various endpoints.

Hands on experience working with AWS EKS and AWS manages solutions such as lambda, ec2, s3, CloudWatch, IAM roles/polices etc.

Experience with AWS cloud environment development and deployment is a plus.

A qualified candidate will be bright, highly motivated and self-starting, able to work optimally within a small dynamic team, as well as work productively on independent assignments.

You have minimum of 10+ years of software engineering development experience.

You are a skilled engineer capable of moving seamlessly between iterative prototyping and enterprise strength application/service development.

Familiarity with asset-management concepts, asset classes such as equity and fixed-income securities is a plus.

The Team

The Investment Ops Dashboard team is responsible for the development and support of the investment risk subject area while interacting with following - alpha, risk, attribution, and common data that includes fund holdings, benchmarks, risk models, security reference data, performance data, and market data. The efforts of this group are critical to investment management, quantitative analysis and new product development.
