Description

The Leidos Health & Civil Sector is seeking a Software Developer, contingent upon contract award, to support a state Medicaid program that will assist the state government in modernizing the Medicaid Enterprise System architecture with a modular System Integration Platform (SIP) that provides flexible system integration services. The ideal candidate must be a strong developer to develop a custom application or configure a COTS component of the integration platform, energetic and self-motivated, able to guide and mentor technical professionals, and with a value-driven and customer-centric mindset.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Business Analyst and Sr. Developer to prepare for requirements and design sessions with customers.
  • Develops Progressive Web Applications using React.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS adhering to best practices and design principles.
  • Collaborates with DevSecOps to support code versioning, build, and release process across the development, test, and production environments.
  • Integrates software systems, such as databases, application servers, and third-party software, to ensure that they work together effectively.
  • Address the vulnerabilities and potential security threats identified through automated security scans and penetration testing.
  • Maintains software applications, including monitoring and troubleshooting issues, performing upgrades and patches, and addressing security concerns.
  • Collaborates with Senior developers, architecture, product, test, and operations, to ensure that software development is integrated effectively with other processes.
  • Maintains documentation related to software development, including design documents, test plans, and user manuals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience.
  • Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, and back-end technologies such as Spring Boot, Rest API.
  • Strong UI, UX Web design experience.
  • Experience developing customizable portal applications as launching page for other applications.
  • Experience with software development tracking and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker on Azure GovCloud for cloud deployment.
  • Experience with data persistence frameworks against RDBMS such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Knowledge of web services protocols and standards such as REST, SOAP, JSON.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio or other IDEs
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Azure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure Certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, or Azure Developer
  • Experience with querying/updating RDBMS such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
  • Experience with any of source code scanning tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, Fortify, Check Marx, White Source or Black Duck.
  • Experience with Medicaid Management Information System implementations.

  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, and IHE.
  • Experience with managed file server products such as MOVEit, Go Anywhere, Cornerstone.

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
