Fullstack Developer - TypeScript/JavaScript (Reston, VA)

One of our largest national retail clients is hiring a Fullstack Developer to join their growing Point of Sale team. Daily tasks will include creating reusable JavaScript libraries for web applications, upgrading legacy JavaScript & NodeJS to the latest libraries including its dependencies, designing and implementing new features, testing, and focusing largely on operational excellence. The ability to communicate well and work independently is a must - this person will be working with a large number of teams and collaborating on problems and impacts. This person should come from a professional background mainly consisting of using JavaScript and Typescript to build back-end libraries.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of large scale project experience in software development specifically in designing frameworks and building services
- Experience utilizing JavaScript, Typescript, & Node to build services / back end libraries
- Strong understanding of object oriented design principles
- Experience in focusing on the operational excellence of the application/service created
- Experience creating automated unit and integration tests (Jest or Raspberry for testing)
- Background in monitoring and addressing production issues at scale
- Ability to develop dashboards and conduct data analysis using Splunk, Grafana, and Big Query
- React, Redux

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Previous experience migrating large scale projects from older Typescript to the latest Typescript and NodeJS framework
- Experience orchestrating Point of Sale devices (payment terminals/pin pads, barcode scanners, etc.)
- VS Code
