Duties and Responsibilities:


Practicum Learning Experience Assistant
• Assist the Director of BSW Practicum in coordinating and managing the practicum education program for social work students.
• Assist in data entry using the Practicum Education Management Platform Tevera.
• Aid in establishing relationships with practicum placement agencies and maintaining ongoing communication.
• Assist in the development of practicum education policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Help organize and facilitate orientation sessions, seminars, and training programs for practicum instructors and students.
• Support the Director of BSW Practicum in resolving any issues or concerns related to field education.

Academic Programming Assistant
• Support the BSW Program Director in administrative tasks related to the major, two minors, two certificate programs, and 3+3 program.
• Assist faculty members in organizing department records, files, and databases.
• Assist faculty members with course preparation including assembling course materials, setting up classrooms, and managing online learning platforms.
• Assist faculty members with research projects including literature reviews, participant recruitment, and data management and analysis as needed.
• Offer guidance and support to current and prospective students regarding program and certificate requirements, course registration, and academic resources.
• Help prepare materials for meetings, conferences, and workshops.
• Assist with coordinating various departmental events including scheduling, logistics, and communication with participants.
• Assist with promotional events such as open houses or fairs. Gather materials and help promote these events.
• Assist with events including Senior Celebration, graduation, workshops, guest speakers, and social events for students. Gather materials and help promote these events.


Required Qualifications:


• Current enrollment in social work program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social education and the social work profession and discipline, including principles, theories, and ethical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and professionalism; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when interacting with students and colleagues.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (Canvas), and other computer and Seton Hall applications.
• Experience in peer mentoring or student leadership a plus!
