Job Summary

A faculty member will be the instructor of record. The majority of the graduate teaching assistant's duties are in support of instruction including but not limited to the responsibilities below:

1. Grading/monitoring discussion forum posts
2. Grading/overseeing weekly participation
3. Literature reviews
4. Assisting a faculty member with teaching-related tasks
5. Grading student assignments which may require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory
6. May meet with and/or tutor students
7. Prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or lab, etc.
8. Material preparation

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$737 - $1473 per month

Required Qualifications

1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at http://hr.illinoisstate.edu/downloads/GA_Handbook.pdf
2. Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in the Special Education program.

Work Hours

Hours will be determined by scheduling needs of faculty.
