General laborer

Job Summary

The General Laborer is responsible for ensuring that products are food-safe and meet quality standards. 

This role involves inspecting machinery, assembling and disassembling equipment, following safety protocols, and ensuring correct labeling of products. 

The laborer will follow supervisor instructions to ensure proper handling and production of goods.




Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards, reporting any issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Inspect machinery before use and report any problems prior to or during operation.
• Ensure that all products are labeled correctly with appropriate lot codes on each product and ingredient.
• Assemble and disassemble machinery as required.
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when cleaning or maintaining equipment.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions regarding the products being run and the necessary containers for each production run.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of food safety standards.
• Physical ability to assemble and disassemble machinery.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding product labeling and lot codes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
