Hello humankindness Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrows healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. Responsibilities

Title: Faculty Surgeon- General/Trauma Surgery

Reports to: Academic Chair, Surgery

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is seeking a faculty surgeon within the Division of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Specialties to join our team at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, a Level III trauma center. The ideal candidate will be board eligible/certified in general surgery with experience in trauma. Candidates should have interest in education/teaching of medical students and surgical residents, and have a passion for high quality and clinical care. Excellent communication skill is a must and willing to work in a high volume matrix environment.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• MD or DO Degree
• ABS Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery
• Trauma Surgery experience preferred
• Must have or be eligible for medical licensure in Arizona.
• ATLS certification
• Completed ACGME Residency training program
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
• A passion for providing clinically excellent care

Pay Range
$198.93 - $277.23 /hour
