Gateway Endoscopy Center is seeking a full time GI Technician to add to our outstanding team!

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to center's policy and procedure.
  • Efficiently and effectively assists physician with procedures.
  • Anticipates physicians' needs both in preparing for procedure and during procedure.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet patients and family's learning needs as identified in the plan of care.
  • Provides appropriate interventions related to safety issues.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position.
  • Demonstrates proper cleaning and care of the endoscopy equipment
  • Maintains adequate levels of inventory
  • Demonstrates principles of aseptic techniques

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Certification in Endoscope reprocessing a plus
  • One to three years previous experience in GI Lab a plus
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
  • Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy GI lab environment
  • Must be able to function as a team player
  • Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
