The Girls Athletic Coordinator is responsible for directing and managing the overall girls athletic programs for the high school and the middle schools, and respective head coach responsibility. Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and the ability to be successful. Ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements. Contribute to the education program as a whole and to the growth of students involved in athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Texas Teacher Certification

• Commercial Driver's License

• CPR/AED Certified

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Administrative or Supervisory experience preferred.

• Head coaching experience preferred.

• Knowledge of coaching techniques, strategies and procedures

• Knowledge of UIL rules and regulations

• Proficient with written and oral communication skills

• Efficient organizational and management skills

• Strong interpersonal relationship skills
EXPERIENCE:
• High School Head Coaching experience, 5A or 6A high school coordinator experience or other postsecondary coaching experience

• Successful experience as a classroom teacher and head coach

• Experience developing and sustaining feeder programs from grade seven and above

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in coordinating Athletic Department expectations in accordance with CISD and UIL athletic objectives and policies.

• Positively promote programs, athletic department, campus, and CISD.

• Oversee and coordinate all girls MS and HS Campuses

• Monitor and confirm each girl's sport coach program compliance including all safety and UIL regulations.

• Facilitate pre-season compliance meetings, end of season meetings, and evaluations for team sports.

• Serve as the girls' liaison for master schedule on any HS campus as needed for athletics.

• Serve as the girls' liaison to the lead counselor, principals, attendance clerk, substitute coordinator on any HS campus as needed for athletics.

• Serve as the girls' liaison to district personnel as needed for athletics.

• Serve as the girls' administrative liaison to parent meetings as needed for athletics.

• Serve as the girls' liaison to any MS campus as needed for athletics.

• Work with members of the school staff to plan and implement instructional goals and strategies to ensure academic success of student athletes.

• Oversee all HS & MS indoor athletic facilities, enter all during-the-

school-day calendar schedule entries, all program practices, and any other contest/game events into facilities software. Communicate any schedule reservation that will impact the scheduled/usual user of the space.

• Contribute to daily ISS relief schedule as assigned.

• Assist with the proper care and maintenance of all campus athletic fields, facilities, and equipment including the cleaning, sanitizing and storage of equipment. Make recommendations for repair and replacement when appropriate.

• Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship, including leveraging UIL allowable off-season and summer activities to improve the abilities of student athletes.

• Monitor transitioning of multi-sport female athletes.

• Instruct and advise students on NCAA regulations regarding academic requirements for scholarships and recruiting practices.

• Facilitate monthly high school head coaches' meetings and middle school coordinator meetings.

• Oversee all In-Season and Off-Season Strength and Conditioning

• Participate in the interview process for HS and MS campus athletic positions and make recommendations of candidates to AD and campus principal.

• Possess and demonstrate the ability of effective communication with students, athletic staff, campus faculty, and community.

• Assist with individual coach mentorship and program intervention as needed.

• Assist all girls' coaches in the planning and management of their programs as needed and help monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation.

• Assist with the management of UIL athletic contests, tournaments, meets, and banquets as needed/assigned.

• Attend and encourage attendance/membership at professional workshops, conventions, and professional organizations.

• Encourage and monitor each girls sports program to maintain Athletic Department and CISD policy and procedure.

• Encourage and monitor each girls sports program to maintain discipline and appropriate attire.

• Encourage and monitor each girls sports program to carry out the athletic department character curriculum expectation and the UIL compliant utilization of time management for practices and study hall each week during the athletic period.

• Coordinate and oversee the fall, winter, and spring signing day ceremonies with all head coaches, athletes, and their parents.

• Coordinate with boys' coordinator and email officials' vouchers for contests.

• Coordinate with boys' coordinator and enter referees/officials' payments for all HS and MS contests and act as girls' liaison to official associations.

• Coordinate with boys' coordinator to facilitate final calendar of all summer camps and summer skills.

• Follow up on all HS & MS indoor athletic facilities/fieldhouse work orders and in coordination with maintenance directors.

• Coordinate summer strength & conditioning and skills girls programs workout times, schedules, and regiments.

• Assist in planning Monday Virtual Meeting coaches' emails.

• Assist in Athlete Advisory Committee (AAC) meetings.

• Assist in gathering data and girls sport programs' content for athletic department media and communications.

• Research and create proposals to communicate needs.

• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Head Coach Responsibilities:

• Oversee and Coordinate sport for MS and HS Campuses.

• Develop and implement a clear vision and philosophy for the program.

• Promote and encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and character development among players.

• Communicate weekly agendas and schedules with parents.

• Weekly collaboration with all stakeholders

• Facilitate the intake of new athletes into the program.

• Ensure home visits for all new athletes joining the program in accordance with the UIL rules and guidelines.

• Coordinate summer Performance Course workout times, schedules, and regiment

• Oversee the daily practice preparation and performance of the coaching staff.

• Manage assistant coaches within program and vertical alignment.

• Plan and coordinate HS and MS pre-season coach's meetings

• Ensure all player recruiting information is correct and updated.

• Facilitate the purchasing of equipment to ensure that all players are properly equipped for maximum safety.

• Conduct parent meetings.

• Evaluate all HS assistant coaches at end of the season and participate in MS end of season (EOS) meetings.

• Conduct weekly staff meetings.

• Make sure that all schedules are entered into Rank One and made public.

• Oversee sport activity fund and district budgets.

• Oversee the Booster Club/schedule and attend all monthly meetings.

• Foster positive relationships with local media, sponsors, and community members to promote the program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise all High School and Middle School Girls Coaches.

• Supervise all sport specific activities at all Levels.
