Girls Swim Coach

Description

Only 15 minutes from the West Side of Madison, the Mount Horeb High School is loking for a Swim Coach for part of the Fall season. The qualified individual should possess a sound knowledge of high school swim, strong communication skills, a dedicated work ethic, a natural rapport with students, and the desire to excel and grow in the profession. As varsity head coach, the qualified candidate will be an active contributor to the Mt Horeb Area School District and adhere to school district, Badger Conference, and WIAA rules and regulations. In addition, the varsity coach will be asked to work with the Mt Horeb Gators to promote the sport of girls swimming in the Mt Horeb community.

Qualifications

A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate and possess:
-Preferred head coaching experience.
-A coaching and learning philosophy that includes thoughts on the role of athletics in an educational setting, winning and losing, competition, players, school, and community.
-Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
-Assistance to and work with youth programs
-Practices will be held at various times during the week, following a set schedule. Early morning practices, weekend practices and competitions are also part of the schedule.
-Dedication to student eligibility, grades, code of conduct, and team safety.
--Ability to provide positive motivation and development of student-athletes during and out of the swim season.
