Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

As a Feature Policy Lead in our Trust & Safety team, you will have the opportunity to work with teams of product managers, data scientists, user researchers, operations, legal and various relevant stakeholders to craft policies and safety strategies for product features and deliver major safety product changes.

Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team who identifies safety risks in Interactive product features and leverage policy solutions to effectively address the risks, manage cross-team relations and optimize policy iteration & implementation procedures to let our users engage with a safe content ecosystem.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners and internal experts to understand emerging trends or risks and drive the implementation of solutions.
- Provide prompt and professional input from the user safety perspective to support associated product feature launches.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of Interactive features and enforcement requirements to support the development, launch and training of effective UGC content policies, guidance and safety strategies
- Work closely with product teams to promote community well-being and user safety through optimization of product safety features and product strategy.
- Conduct research into Trust and Safety best practices and analyze existing policies and procedures to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or conflicts and develop solutions to resolve.
- Work with cross-functional teams to set goals and milestones for continuously improving the safety of interactive features.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Content and Country Policy Managers, Operations, Legal, PR, and PA teams to build consensus on global feature policies and processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in public policy, politics, law, economics, communications, behavioral sciences, or related field
- 5+ years of work experience in Trust & Safety, product policy, or other product safety roles in a new media, technology, or entertainment company
- 1+ years of mentoring experience, with proven ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve results, managing without authority
- Demonstrated systematic thought process regarding policy and experience working with engineering, product and technical design teams
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous high tempo environments, identify trade-offs, and make decisions in high-pressure situations and respond to day-to day challenges of the role
- Strong attention to detail -- highly self-driven and results oriented
- Experience handling sensitive and sometimes graphic material
- Experienced in verbal and written communication, able to articulate and defend a policy position and lead to consensus; project management skills, with the ability to drive and manage the simultaneous delivery of complex projects in collaboration with stakeholder teams, influencing across all levels, from different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of people management experience in leading small/medium global teams, with proven results in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for employees to learn and grow
- Proven ability to develop sound research methodologies and collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data
- Experience working in a start-up, or forming new teams in established companies
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role
