Are you ready to go beyond

As the P&W Global Trade Authorizations Management Specialist, you will work with the Pratt & Whitney Global Trade Authorizations Team to improve compliance with government requirements for export / import authorizations around the world, and refine P&W policies, procedures, tools and training to ensure we meet these requirements.

You will also work closely with the Authorizations Manager and Community, ensuring Authorization Owners and Authorized Users understand and are comfortable with their roles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, refine and bolster the P&W authorizations management program involving our personnel and business customers in the US, Canada, Poland and around the world in the process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the program including data analytics and artificial intelligence projects, IT tool development, and training / development of personnel tasked with managing export / import authorizations.
  • Enable and empower P&W Global Trade Authorizations professionals and stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding authorization-related business transactions.
  • Maintain and report on key internal, customer and other performance and risk metrics.
  • Support P&W Global Trade incident investigations, audits and assessments, corrective actions and related program initiatives.
  • File authorization applications and assist business stakeholders with the activation, management, and close-out of authorizations.
  • Support a team of dedicated Global Trade Authorizations professionals.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of related experience OR advanced degree with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Trade Compliance, other regulatory compliance management, or systems management.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data analytics, artificial intelligence, developing IT tools, or managing systems (e.g., SAP-GTS, database tools, etc.).
  • Understanding of the ITAR, EAR or other applicable laws and regulations governing global trade.
  • MBA and/or JD degree is a plus and may substitute for experience, especially if combined with some regulatory compliance or systems management experience.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
