Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Google Cloud Data Engineer/Administrator to join our team. As a GCP Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow across various platforms. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data infrastructure, improve performance, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
1. Database Management:
o Advanced proficiency in managing Postgres and Cloud SQL databases.
o Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing.
o Conduct data modeling and schema analysis to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
2. Data Integration:
o Train and configure Datastream for real-time data ingestion.
o Implement data pipelines to move data from Postgres to BigQuery.
o Intermediate proficiency in BigQuery, including performance tuning and schema analysis.
3. Data Processing:
o Familiarity with DataFlow or Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow) for ETL workflows.
o Create and maintain data pipelines using DataFlow or Cloud Composer.
o Optimize pipeline performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience with Postgres, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling concepts.
Familiarity with real-time data streaming tools (e.g., Datastream).
Experience with ETL frameworks (DataFlow, Cloud Composer) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
