Graduate Nurse (GN)- Emergency Department (ED)

WORK LOCATION: The address is 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

SCHEDULE: Full Time Nights -(7PM-7AP) for 36 hrs./ week. Rotating weekend and holiday requirements

With 52 beds and more than 41,000 patient-visits a year, the emergency room at Texas Health Plano is well-equipped and one of the largest in Collin County. Board-certified physicians and registered nurses provide personalized care for emergency room patients. Although wait-times vary depending on the seriousness of a patient's condition, the hospital's 30-Minute Promise alleviates the worry that comes with a long wait. HERE's WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Associate's Degree Nursing Upon hire Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Upon hire Preferred
  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required.
  • Acceptance into a THR residency program Required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required And
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required And
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Required And
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months Required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED DO:

  • The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
  • The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by: active listening and exemplifying a non-judgmental attitude
