GO-LUCI's Communications and External Affairs Office oversees and manages all aspects of communications, including media relations, stakeholder/external as well as internal communications, social media and web content development. Under the direction of the Public Information Officer II, the Digital Communications Lead's primary responsibility is supporting the department in the areas of graphic design for visual and digital communications. The incumbent handles multiple priorities and requires an excellent working knowledge of personal computers and graphic design principals for layout, print, website and mobile design. The incumbent will need to have working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) rules and be proficient in various software including Microsoft Office, the Adobe Creative Suite, ARC GIS, and others available.

The position requires the incumbent to work effectively with staff in the Communications and External Affairs Office and other department employees, as well as media representatives, external stakeholders and the general public; analyze and forecast situations and data accurately, take independent action; and make sound decisions. The incumbent must also have the abilities to develop and maintain cooperative relationships and work independently or as part of the team. The incumbent must maintain consistent and regular attendance to meet work commitments.

Working Conditions

Department Information
The Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (GO-LUCI) serves the Governor and his Cabinet as staff for long-range planning and research and constitutes the comprehensive state planning agency. GO-LUCI assists the Governor and the Administration in planning, research, policy development, and legislative analysis. GO-LUCI formulates long- range state goals and policies to address land use, climate change, population growth and distribution, urban expansion, infrastructure development, groundwater sustainability and drought response, and resource protection. GO-LUCI's budget programs include State Planning and Policy Development, Strategic Growth Council, and Racial Equity Commission.
