The Opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is searching for a full-time Grill Cooks to join our team at State Grill and Bar in New York, New York. As a grill cook you, will showcase your grilling techniques in a fast-paced kitchen, delivering delicious grilled creations to our valued guests.

$20.00 - $24.00 / hour

Responsibilities

• Execute flawless preparation and grilling of a variety of dishes according to established recipes.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of grilled items.
• Ensure the safety and quality of grilled items by monitoring internal temperatures of various meats and ingredients.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet service demands.
• Oversee and manage grill station efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the grill area.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels for grilling ingredients.
• May be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization.

Qualifications

• 2 years of proven experience as a Grill Cook or a similar role is required
• Expertise in grilling techniques, temperatures, and timings.
• Ability to handle high-volume grilling with precision.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
• Standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
• Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
• Exposed to variable temperatures and damp environments
