This Ground Communications-Electronics Repair Technician Jr. position is located at Stone Bay, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC, in support of Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC).

The Ground Communications-Electronics Repair Technician Contractor shall perform diagnosis, repairs, and modifications to ground data/communications equipment at the organizational and intermediate levels.

Responsibilities include using AIS such as GCSS-MC, and SSAVIE.

The Contractor shall be able to obtain an operators' license for non-tactical and tactical Government-owned equipment, read schematic diagrams, blueprints and specifications.

The Contractor will provide support to USMC Special Operations Forces equipment with comprehensive logistical and technical maintenance of their communications, intelligence, and tactical air control capabilities by executing and supporting multiple functional tasks to include, but not limited to: perform trouble shooting, maintenance, and repair; prepare supply system requisitions; conduct vendor liaison; execute item management and disposition actions; support the Capital Equipment Replacement Program; coordinate with Field Service Representatives from outside manufacturers; maintain readiness of all organic equipment; maintain technical publications; document all logistics and maintenance of equipment, equipment status, equipment inventory, and supply transactions by the records interface by using logistics automated information systems (LOGAIS) application known as Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).

The contractor will be prepared to provide training, coaching, etc., to the supported customer.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: High School or GED equivalent four (4) to six (6) years of relevant, progressive experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess current experience and expert level proficiency in the repair of Marine Corps Communications-Electronics equipment equivalent to that of a Marine Corps Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 2841 Communications-Electronics Repair Specialist or equivalent Civil Service skill designator. Must be proficient in the use of GCSS-MC and common MS Office Suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Functions
Work will be performed inside an industrial shop type facility. Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Position could require some night and weekend work. Some travel may be required based on client requirements.

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 50 lbs. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.

Equipment and Machines
General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other work related tools as required. Must be proficient in the use of common Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Attendance
Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday). Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client's standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
