Duties include maintaining city parks, corridors and/or athletic fields - performing assigned tasks such as mowing, edging and working in flower beds; handling turf maintenance and athletic field preparation; and picking up litter and cleaning restrooms. Duties may also include performing general repairs and basic maintenance of parks structures; and assisting with irrigation system maintenance and chemical application. Duties will require operating various types of equipment, e.g. walk-behind mowers, riding mowers, tractors, ATVs, backpack blowers, string trimmers and edgers. Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance and have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) is beneficial. Six months of related experience is required. Work days and scheduled hours may vary.
