Group Sales Representative

Company Overview:

Brand New Ballpark in Hagerstown, Maryland! The locally owned, state-of-the-art facility is home to the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars baseball team of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. The ownership of Downtown Baseball LLC., is dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Hagerstown and providing the community a place to live, work and play. The organization is looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals to join the Hagerstown team and be part of an amazing process in creating memories for all of Hagerstown.

Position Overview:

• Assist in managing preparation for all group and picnic areas.
• Become well versed with the ticketing system, ticket prices, ballpark and hospitality inventory.
• Utilize ticket system to sell tickets for individuals, ticket packages, group menus and group outings.
• Work with department managers in Tickets and Food & Beverage to ensure each groups information is accurate for each event.
• Communicate with group leaders to ensure fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Assist Sales Staff in preparing and executing all group events.
• Provide operations support to the Ticket, Group Sales and Food & Beverage Departments.
• Assist in set up and necessary stocking of group and picnic areas for all games and events
• Represent the organization at community events
• Work all Flying Boxcars home games and ballpark events
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors

Other duties as assigned by department managers.

Requirements:
Completing or have completed a four-year college degree strongly preferred (Sport Management, Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field). Ability to maintain flexible hours, including but not limited to, normal business hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Must provide own transportation. Ability to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift up to 25lbs and be outdoors during the Spring and Summer months.

Qualifications:

Self-motivated and hard working

Current Driver's License

Responsible individual with sound judgement.

Team Player that must work well in team setting and individually.

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment

This position requires a candidate to have administrative skills, such as using Excel and Microsoft Office Products.

Candidate must be able to work long hours including weekends in the height of the season.

Candidate must be able to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time.

Candidate must be able to handle weather related elements such as rain and heat.
