JOB SUMMARY:

As a SVP, Group Director of Data Sciences & Advanced Analytics you will lead our team in uncovering valuable insights from large datasets and driving business strategies. The successful candidate will manage junior and senior staff, collaborate with upper-management stakeholders and develop data science and engineering roadmaps to maximize ROI for our clients. On the technical side, key responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting complex, disparate datasets, utilizing advanced quantitative methods and extracting trends from customer databases for multi-channel analysis. The ideal candidate will also have experience in thought leadership, translating client needs into product development and delivering impactful presentations to various stakeholders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Drive invaluable business insights via meticulous analysis, research, and modeling.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements, integrating data science best practices into product lines.
  • Attend conferences as viewer and presenter.
  • Lead advanced quantitative methods for effective segmentation, evaluating efficiency of customer/HCP activities.
  • Develop, maintain, enhance statistical models; engage in open-source coding.
  • Apply statistical/machine learning techniques to extract trends from extensive data.
  • Craft intricate presentations, lead multi-channel analyses, leverage data for strategies.
  • Distill insights from customer behavior, steer strategic decisions.
  • Lead 8 to 12 junior to VP-level data scientists/engineers, driving team achievements.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide business and marketing insight to various stakeholders through analysis, research and modeling;
  • Keep up with both industry and academic advances/research in data science and engineering, and actively works to incorporate the latest best practices into new product lines;
  • Actively manage 8 to 14 junior data scientists, data scientists, lead data scientists, principal data scientists, directors of data science, VPs of data science and engineering and perhaps an SVP (IPGH director) of data sciences;
  • Roadmap the agency agenda on advanced quantitative methods to segment customers and healthcare practitioners (HCPs), and evaluate customer/HCP related activities for effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of statistical models;
  • Be a proactive educator of statistical and machine learning (ML) techniques teaching the department the latest in best practices;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations with complex analytical concepts to EVPs and higher on a regular basis;
  • Conduct multi-channel analysis for online and offline contexts using browsing and purchase data;
  • Assist in development and analysis of real-time data flow;
  • Apply analytic techniques to customer or consumer behavior data to determine key customer insights, drive business strategies and maximize ROI.

  • Hands-on expertise using R or Python

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to middle and upper management and clients
  • Comfortable working with various business partners and the ability to take initiative to drive projects forward
  • Should have experience integrating data scientific modeling into data visualization platforms, such as Tableau and PowerBI
  • Should have experience working with data engineers to optimize the backend pipelines with the middle- ground modeling and front-end presentation or interface
  • Knowledge of advertising and growth marketing principles, perhaps even some experience with attribution modeling and targeting
  • Knowledge of the healthcare space, more helpful to have experience with pharmaceuticals and prescription-related matters
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects from week to week
