Chipton-Ross is seeking a Hardware Engineer for a contract opportunity at Altus AFB, OK.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hardware Engineer performs logistics product support to ensure sustainment capability of C-17 Aircrew Training Devices (ATD); researches and provides technical information used to develop and maintain the C-17 ATDs and engineering data. Establishes systems support requirements, approaches and solutions; develops and documents processes. Provides logistics support to influence product designs; determines and develops supportability-related design approaches and solutions. Supports the data collection and analysis needs to respond to customer inquiries. Proposes, evaluates, validates and implements engineering changes. Provides hardware engineering support for the development of ATS Training System Change Requests (TSCR).

Applies engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to support product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, sustainability, reliability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle. Develops product definition, design and configuration. Defines, evaluates and maintains engineering supportability, operability and maintainability requirements for products, systems and programs. Analyzes data to produce support, flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements. Evaluates engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposes program changes and manages implementation of changes. Plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Establishes planning and design criteria to develop integrated support and maintenance infrastructure. Supports continued airworthiness. Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance to customer's products including, ground support equipment, training devices, training facilities, operations facilities and maintenance facilities. Coordinates and supports proposal development. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years Aerospace experience
- Must be familiar with Avionics

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 5 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30
