About The Role

We're looking for a commercially driven, creatively astute & highly strategic marketing specialist to oversee and lead marketing strategy for Uber's largest market, US & Canada. As the Head of Marketing Strategy for US & Canada, you will be responsible for developing and delivering incisive, customer first marketing strategies that help to accelerate business growth and shape brand outcomes. In addition to setting the strategic path for our annual marketing plans, you will lead the development of our most critical & major campaign briefs, work with stakeholders across the business to identify untapped growth opportunities and partner with internal and external teams to optimize & refine our investment strategies.

What You Will Do

- Marketing Strategy:End-to-End management and leadership of our annual planning process, with a key focus on developing a full year marketing strategy & plan that aligns with business & brand goals
- Growth Planning:Working hand in hand with our Research & Insights and Data Science teams, you'll identify growth opportunities across key audience segments & products and develop actionable marketing strategies for our regional marketing teams to execute against
- Media Investment: Partner closely with our internal media team and external media agency to set and optimize our investment framework across priorities, product lines & audiences
- Brief Development:Design & build marketing briefs for our highest priority brand campaigns and product launches across the Mobility and Delivery portfolio
- Executive Communication:Develop and design strategic documents & content for a wide range of audiences, including Executive Leadership, All Hands meetings & external partners
- Leadership:Serve as a key leader on the US&C Regional Marketing team, helping to shape and build a positive & high performance culture for the broader team
- Business Integration: Serve as a strategic partner to the Operations & Finance teams, helping to bring a marketing & consumer lens to key business discussions while ensuring that campaigns are driving business priorities and growth

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience working across large-scale consumer brands in a marketing and/or brand strategy role

Preferred Qualifications

- Highly analytical with strong commercial acumen. Sufficient knowledge of Excel or Google spreadsheets (SQL a plus)
- Track record of developing world-class business, brand, and marketing strategies that have been translated into tactical and highly impactful execution plans
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You are an expert storyteller who can effectively visualize data and craft succinct & incisive written content
- Experience developing campaign briefs for large-scale brand campaigns
- Ability to work across a highly matrixed organization
- Client-side experience is essential, but a mix of agency and client-side experience is welcome

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$225,000 per year - USD$250,000 per year.
