Team Intro
TikTok Algorithms team sits in the center of TikTok, committed to the research and deployment of the next-generation of AI core technologies that power the TikTok app. The team consists of strong Machine Learning Researchers and Engineers, contributing cutting-edge research and implementation of TikTok product evolution.

Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of researchers focused on AI/ML technologies, exploring novel machine learning models and algorithms
- Lead research portfolios, identify long-term ambitious research goals as well as intermediate milestones
- Increase research visibility by publishing outcomes in academic journals and conferences
- Collaborate with open-source communities or academia to advance AI development

Qualifications

- PhD in Computer Science, ML, or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in leading influential projects or papers in one or more of the following fields: speech synthesis or recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, generative models, etc.
- Strong first-author publications record in top AI conferences or journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, ICASSP)
- Strong organizational skills and experience working with large cross-functional and diverse teams
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
