Warren Wilson College invites applications for the position of Head Women's Soccer Coach. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual with the right aptitude and experience to recruit students for our Women's Soccer program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the sport, dedicated to developing student-athletes both on and off the field, and committed to fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Competitive applicants should have proven successful coaching and recruiting experience in the sport of soccer, and have excellent communication and efficient organizational skills. The primary areas of responsibility for this position include oversight and operation of the Women's Soccer Team including all aspects of coaching, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, fundraising, and managing the women's intercollegiate soccer program within the policies and philosophy of Warren Wilson College. The Head Women's Soccer Coach must work on campus unless traveling for approved strategic recruiting initiatives/trips. This is an 11-month, full-time, benefit eligible, position, which is paid over 12 months. The individual in this role is expected to work approximately July through May, with four weeks off, scheduled in the month of June. This position is required to work frequently during evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of coaching or related athletic experience, OR two-plus years playing at the collegiate level.
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of women's soccer.
  • Evidence of team-building skills focusing on communication and positive interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from a diverse range of identities and experiences.
  • Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use or ability to obtain certifications upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • More than two years of coaching or related athletic experience, which include program development and collegiate coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and coach student-athletes.
