Your tasks

  • Provides guidance on the general functions of the company's safety and health programs. Evaluates work areas, work procedures, the working environment, accident/injury data and other aspects relating to safety and ergonomics. Make recommendations; create and implement action and training programs as they relate to continuous improvements.
  • Remains current with best practices, and ensures that the company remains compliant with the relevant policies and procedures. Creates and implements programs to comply with regulations.
  • Make recommendations for policies, safety and health related training programs and activities; create and implement plans/programs where needed. Provides training where qualified and coordinates external resources for training when necessary.
  • Manages and controls health and safety documents, employee training, and templates, both electronic and hard copy.
  • Ensure investigations of spills, accidents, incidents and injuries, including "near misses" and first aid report injuries to 3rd party and ensure updated internal documents and reports.
  • Leads the Health amp; Safety committee to conduct workplace inspections, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provides training, information and advice on internal guidelines, customer requirements that pertain to issues. Identify and implement plans/programs to address opportunities for improvement or changes where necessary.
  • Follow requirements of Brose Safety and Health guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required


Your Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health amp; Safety Management or Registered Safety Professional
  • 2 years in related field, automotive experience preferred;
  • Understanding of Health and Safety laws
  • Program/Project Management, Leadership skills
  • Communication and Presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Ergonomics assessment qualification would be an advantage
