We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Components Business Segment in Plainfield, Indiana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Provides technical support on health, safety and environmental to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader.
• Assists in the review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Builds an understanding of corporate driven HSE initiatives, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assists in reporting any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard through internal reporting processes.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of hazard identification, incident investigation and risk assessment processes.
• Assists in maintenance of local HSE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting and avoiding repeated incidents.
• Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
• Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems - Interprets and applies international standards through practical application within the operating environment to achieve and maintain an effective management system and external certification.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• College, University or equivalent degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, or Sustainability preferred.
• Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• Assist with maintaining ISO 14001 Certification
• Data Entry and Maintain Process MAPS (EGIS)

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
