Faculty Position in Health Systems Transformation and Learning Health Systems

The Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence is seeking a mid to senior career clinician investigator with a strong track record in health systems research and Learning Health Systems.

The successful candidate will have experience designing, testing, developing, and implementing innovations and evidence that have successfully transformed systems of health and healthcare delivery, as well as the evaluation of complex system interventions.

The Anderson Center's vision is to be the catalyst for improving child health. It is one of the largest organizational programs in health systems improvement and evidence-based practice in the world including 40 faculty (jointly appointed in 15 Divisions and Departments) and 200 staff who provide methodologic and technical expertise in advanced improvement and implementation science across every division, department, and facility of Cincinnati Children's, the region, and nationally and internationally through our Learning Health Networks.

We are looking for an individual to join our team, who can facilitate the design and implementation of a learning and research strategy that encompasses innovation, health system science, and network organizing to improve outcomes for children and youth locally, regionally, and globally.

Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: health systems improvement, improvement science, implementation science, patient safety, patient engagement and co-production, equity and vulnerable populations, digital and technology innovation, population and community health.

Candidates should also have methodologic expertise in one or more of the following areas: comparative effectiveness research (CER), outcome measurement, complex systems evaluation, scale-up and spread, innovation design and management, clinical informatics and the use of real-world data streams, and multi-organizational or multisector systems change research. The candidate must also have an ongoing funded research program.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Develop a program of action-oriented research in Learning Health Systems and health systems transformation.

• Build collaborations and partnerships across Divisions and Departments at Cincinnati Children's, the University of Cincinnati, nationally and internationally.

• Develop systems, processes, and infrastructure to catalyze and facilitate the design, implementation, and evaluation of health systems interventions across Divisions and Department

• Teach and mentor faculty, fellows, and students in Learning Health Systems methods.

Qualifications:

• • A doctoral degree in a clinical field

• Post-doctoral degree in health services research, health policy, public health, or a related field

• A strong track record of research in health system sciences and Learning Health System

• Experience securing external funding for research and innovation activities.

• A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journal

The successful candidate should possess strong leadership and communication skills, mentorship capabilities, creativity, comfort with ambiguity, and consulting capability.
