Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join our Medical/Surgical team!

The Health Unit Coordinator provides support in patient care areas to visitors, patients and staff in a professional and caring manner.

HOURS: Part-time/Benefit Eligible or .6 FTE: 48 hours bi-weekly; Day Shift Only

Experience/Qualifications:

• Performs receptionist duties for the patient care areas.
• Maintains accurate medical record of patients on unit.
• Communicates with nursing frequently.
• Maintains equipment that supports their work.
• Provides one-on-one observation of a patient under the direction of supervising nurse. Verbally calms, reassures, and/or redirects patient as necessary. Reports any changes, safety concerns, patient complaints, or unexpected behaviors to supervising nurse.
• Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
• Maintains department specific accountabilities as determined, maintained, and housed within each unit's Scope of Service.
