Key job responsibilities

Amazon Web Services seeks a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our growing business as part of World Wide Public Sector practice. As a Healthcare Analytics/ML Solutions Architect, you'll shape and deliver strategies to drive broad adoption of Amazon's data, analytics, and AI/ML solutions (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Athena, Amazon RedShift, Amazon DataZone, and Amazon Q) alongside purpose-built Amazon HealthAI suite of services (e.g., Amazon HealthLake, Amazon HealthOmics, Amazon HealthImaging, AWS HealthScribe). Working backwards from customer needs, you'll architect secure, high-performing healthcare analytics/ML solutions, collaborating with system integrators and providers. Your broad responsibilities include: owning technical engagement and project success; defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies.

As a Solutions Architect on our team, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our healthcare customers while working with a world-class business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture. You will be the voice of the customer in helping shape product features and functionalities of AWS services consumed worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

- 8+ years experience working in healthcare institutions in any of the following or similar roles: data/analytics architect, AI/ML specialist, data scientist, data governance specialist, data analyst, lab analyst, clinical/research analyst, analytics/ML leader, principal investigator

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience developing analytics and AI/ML solutions for the following domain areas: hospital administration, revenue cycle, clinical informatics, clinical research, population health, genomics, medical imaging.

- Breadth and depth of knowledge about clinical and research systems widely used, healthcare interoperability standards, medical coding (ICD/RxNorm/SNOMED).

- Expertise in delivering production grade analytics/ML solutions including data lakes, big data processing, statistical and machine learning models, generative AI solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
