You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits and competitive pay in addition to growth opportunities and excellent retirement options.Job Summary:Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Construction (aka Construction Equipment Repairer 91L) is responsible for maintaining trucks, bulldozers, power shovels and other heavy equipment that are needed for construction operations.Please note that this position is CONTIGENT upon award.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
- Maintain and replace brake actuators, batteries, starter motors, mechanical fuel pumps and hydraulic cylinders/pumps/control valves.
- Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps and turbochargers.
- Maintain and replace cylinder heads, high-pressure fuel injection pumps and road wheels.
- Adjust engine speed of governor/valves, carburetors, steering brakes, fuel injector racks and steering unit brake levers.
- Charge suspension accumulators, transmission shift accumulators and main hydraulic accumulators.
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance and repairs of engines, hydraulics, and braking systems
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to bring and use own tools.
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening
- Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation and obtain a CAC.
- High School Diploma / GED
- Valid Driver's License
- S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent
- Py rate $33.04.
- Retention Bonus of $5,000 upon completion of 750 hours.
- Referral Bonus of $500
- Completion Bonus of $7,000 (Prorated, Performance Period: 5/1/2024 - 2/7/2025)
- Relocation Assistant: 50 miles or greater distance
