You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits and competitive pay in addition to growth opportunities and excellent retirement options.Job Summary:The Heavy Equipment Mechanic, JLTV (aka JLTV Wheeled Mechanic 91B) involves maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the operational readiness of wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment systems.Please note that this position is CONTIGENT upon anticipated task order award.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components.
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality.
- Supervise and professionally develop subordinates.
- Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.
- Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety.
- Conduct on-the-job training.
- Must have a minimum of 10+ years maintenance experience in Mechanical Maintenance or a combination of Mechanical Maintenance and General Technical
- Must have the ability to climb up the back of Joint Tactical Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV)
- Must bring and use own tools
- The ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening is required.
- Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain, and maintain a CAC is required
- Must have a minimum of a high School Diploma / GED
- Must have an active and valid Driver's License
- S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent
- Pay Rate $33.04
- Retention Bonus of $5,000 upon completion of 750 hours.
- Referral Bonus of $500
- Completion Bonus of $7,000 (Prorated, Performance Period: 5/1/2024 - 2/7/2025)
- Relocation Assistance: 50 miles or greater distance
