JOB SUMMARY:
Supports all areas of Central Shops work processes by assisting technicians in a variety of work classifications. Handles the day-to-day, broad responsibilities within the repair groups throughout the department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCOPE:
The individual must have a back ground in mechanical application and be familiar with using a tape measure as well as ability to operate power equipment safely.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED required.

JOB SUMMARY:
Supports all areas of Central Shops work processes by assisting technicians in a variety of work classifications. Handles the day-to-day, broad responsibilities within the repair groups throughout the department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disassemble and clean parts for a variety of ride vehicles as directed.
- Perform Fire Watch duties as needed and assist welders with set up, tear down and support.
- Maintains consumable stock to appropriate levels in support of the Central Shops groups. Picking up and delivering to the Stock Room.
- Operates forklift, high reach, trucks, golf carts and load-all to move materials.
- Transports ride parts and components to and from venues and work facilities for repair, welding, machining, painting, fiberglass and/or rebuilding.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all shop areas. Emptying trash cans and dumpsters as needed.
- Maintain and fill paint mixing orders on a daily basis. Cutting different types of metal and other materials using power saws and shears.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:

- 1+ years general shop work and experience with tools and small equipment preferred;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
